Most of our cottages have one double sized bed in each bedroom. Few have queen beds, and some have twin beds. Every cottage has a couch that pulls out to a double sized bed.

We always encourage our customers to bring their own bedding. Or you can rent bed linens and towels at an additional fee. Bedding rental is $30.00 +tax per bed and towels are $25.00 +tax per set – set includes one beach towel, one bath towel, one hand towel, and one face cloth

Our Family Suite cottages are the only rental units that include bedding – but not towels.

Most of our cottages have a shower. Some have bathtubs with a shower, and some have Jacuzzi tubs with a shower. If you would like a cottage with a tub, request one when making your booking.

Yes, we provide baby-related equipment at an additional fee: Highchair ($35/week) Crib ($45/week)

Please do not bring flushable wipes, our septic tanks cannot handle them.

Also, NO firewood is to be brought to Southview. Moving firewood, even just a few kilometers away, can spread invasive insects and diseases to our forests.

Yes, you can bring your own boat. There is a free public boat launch right next to the resort. Docking at the resort is at an additional fee ($170/per week and $120/per weekend)

Yes, we have a deep well that provides cool clear drinking water that is tested daily.

Yes, our beach is great for swimming. Our beach has a sandy bottom with small rocks near shore – on hot days we find there are more people swimming at the beach then in the heated pool. We recommend bringing water shoes to guests not used to Lake swimming as there are the occasional patch of weeds.

Peterborough is 20km away with grocery stores, shopping malls and much more. Port Hope is another town close by, we recommend people coming from HWY 401 and who also who want to pick groceries up before they arrive to go there for grocery shopping.

Our RV sites have 15 & 30-amp service, water and sewer hookups and can accommodate trailers up to 45 ft. Larger units may be accommodated, please call us for more info.

Yes, there is a small convenience store with scoop ice cream, candy, drinks, fishing bait and tackle, firewood, and souvenirs.

Yes, our office issues Ontario Fishing Licenses.

We ask all Ontario residents to have their Boaters License to rent a boat – and of course we’d like you to have some experience. Experienced and non-experienced drivers all receive a boat demo when renting a boat.

Please message or call and let us know the details of your group and we can apply a package deal for 10 or more cottages. We do not offer group bookings in July and August and may have limited availability at other times. Please call us for more information.
